Year 2 have been learning how we are all the same but different.We have talked about what bullying is and how we must tell an adult if someone is bullying us.
Year 2 used the facts they have learned about Hedgehogs to write their own acrostic poems.

Year 2 have been exploring poetry and have started writing poems of their own! Their first poem was an Autumn leaf shape poem. The children then started to create their own poems, we had some super snowmen, terrific trees and some brilliant ball poems! Well done year 2!
As part of our RE topic Year 2 have been learning about Remembrance Day. They looked at the poppy and why it was used as the remembrance flower. The children made some beautiful water colour poppy fields and poppy crosses.
Year 2 visited Atherton Cenotaph as part of our RE topic on Remembrance Day. Next week the children will be writing remembrance poems and prayers.
